Directions: From Greenville, SC, stay on Highway 276 North, following signs to Caesars Head State Park. From Fire Station #64 on the left, drive 1.4 mile to turn right into Persimmon Ridge Road. Then drive .4 mi to the parking lot on the left. The trailhead is across the road.
Enjoy an easy half mile walk through the woods to the iconic view of Table Rock and the surrounding mountains from Bald Rock’s large open rock face. Explore the Preserve.
Visitor Information
We ask that you obey the property guidelines to help the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources preserve the natural beauty of this 165-acre nature preserve.
- The Preserve is open sunrise to sunset. Parking is limited.
- The nearest restrooms are at Table Rock and Caesars Head State Parks.
- Take all trash with you to protect the endangered plants, animals, and headwater streams in the Preserve. Leave No Trace.
- Graffiti, drugs, alcohol, litter, fires ,and fireworks are illegal and subject to fines.
- Please report anyone defacing the property to SCDNR Law Enforcement at 1-800-922-5431.
